Chap 1.0.7 – AMP support

AMP

Added basic support for the AMP WordPress plugin by Automattic, which allows web pages to load near instantly on mobile devices. By using AMP your posts have a high likelihood of being ranked higher on Google search results. The problem is, by default the plugin does not provide a menu and doesn’t look very good either. This update makes use of your already chosen theme options: header background color, link color, font choices, primary and secondary color and footer background color to create a good looking AMP page with a menu and search form.

All you need to do is install and activate the AMP WordPress plugin. Navigate to any post on your site and add ?amp=1 to the end of the URL to view the AMP version.

Current support is for posts only. There are plans to add support for archives, pages, products, analytics, ads and more.

Other updates
Normalized header sizes in front page composites (h3 used to be larger than h2 and h1).
Clarified “Reset to Defaults” button function.
Removed top margin from first-child menus in articles.
Added helper CSS classes for aligning text in mobile.
Added .ui.top.button, a button with guaranteed bottom margin. Useful in cases where you have 2 buttons side by side, but on mobile they responsively move on top of each other – add the .top class to the topmost button to make sure they are properly separated.
Adding “left aligned” or “right aligned” classes to icon headers now aligns the icon as well.
Loop item content is no longer middle aligned.
Chap Shortcodes 1.0.2
Fixed cards in posts shortcode always defaulting to 3 columns.
Added documentation for tooltips.
Added 4 new composites.
