Subtitles – Add subheaders for posts and pages
WordPress plugin
If you would like to add subtitles/subheaders to your pages and/or posts, then Chap includes integration code for the Subtitles WordPress plugin. Works for regular titles, titles in masthead as well as titles on AMP pages.
The Subtitles plugin is light weight and doesn’t come with any ads or nags.

Yes, that seems to use the same post meta key for storing the subtitle, so it works with Chap as well.
